For families moving to Coulsdon, there are a number of ‘outstanding’ schools in the area including Woodcote Primary School, Oasis Academy Byron, Chipstead Valley Primary School, Coulsdon CofE Primary School and Riddlesdown Collegiate. Independent schools in and around Coulsdon include Reedham Park School, Focus School, Cumnor House School and Greenacre School for Girls.

For further and higher education, Coulsdon College offers a wide range of courses, while the capital’s many universities – including University College London, London School of Economics and Kingston University – are within commuting distance.

Getting to Coulsdon

Coulsdon is well connected by road and rail, ideal if you are commuting to work each day. There are two stations, Coulsdon South and Coulsdon Town, and the M25 is also nearby. If your job is based in central London, the train from to London Bridge from Coulsdon South takes 30 minutes.

To get to Croydon, the journey takes around 15 minutes by car or 10 minutes by train. For trips to the coast, Brighton is around one hour away. 

If you’re travelling internationally, London Gatwick is just 20 minutes away from Coulsdon, with routes to major destinations across the world. There’s a train that goes direct to the airport, so you don’t need to worry about parking your car.
