Worthing is a seaside town full of sights and attractions, from Worthing Pier to the Museum and Art Gallery, Highdown Gardens and the impressive painted ceiling of the English Martyrs Catholic Church. In the evening you can see a show at the art deco Connaught Theatre, or venture to the end of the pier where you’ll find the Pavilion Theatre.

Other places of interest nearby include Highdown Vineyard, The Forge Gallery and Brooklands Golf Centre, while neighbouring Brighton is home to the Royal Pavilion, North Laine and The Lanes.

Education

For families moving to a new home in Worthing, it’s good to know there are a number of excellent schools in the area. Getting to Worthing

Worthing has very good transport connections by road and rail, ideal if you’re commuting to work or going to see family and friends. The town is a 35-minute drive away from Brighton or 25 minutes on the train, while the journey from Portsmouth takes 50 minutes by car or train. Worthing is a two-hour drive from London, or one hour 20 minutes by direct train from London Victoria.

When you’re going on holiday or taking a business trip abroad, Gatwick Airport is only a 45-minute drive away, or 50 minutes by direct train if you want to avoid the hassle of airport parking.
