Getting to Barnstaple

Barnstaple is located just off the A39 and A361, less than one hour from the M5. Travelling by car, the journey from Taunton to Barnstaple takes one hour, while the journey from Exeter takes one hour five minutes by either car or train.

Travelling further afield, Barnstaple is one hour 45 minutes away from Bristol by car or two hours 15 minutes by train with a change at Exeter St Davids. If you’re going to or from London, the train journey from Barnstaple to London Paddington takes three hours 40 minutes with a change in Exeter, or three hours 45 minute by car depending on traffic.
