Things to see and do

Watchfield has a historic past, once being home to an RAF base and lively airfield, as well as hosting the infamous Watchfield Festival in 1975. It was once a small farming community, with much of this history still seen in the architecture in the village today. It is also home to the Defence Academy of the UK.

Travelling a little further afield you can explore the surrounding countryside by visiting Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill, and the National Trust properties of Great Coxwell Barn and Kelmscott Manor.

Oxford is just over half an hour away with its mix of historical sites, and green open spaces, as well as lively bars, cafes and restaurants.
