There’s no doubt about what the star attraction is in this area. An atmospheric forest and nature reserve, Cannock Chase is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Not only is it perfect for relaxing walks, it’s also an incredibly popular spot for exciting leisure pursuits, no thanks to its mountain bike routes and tree-top adventure trails.
Cannock Park is even closer to the town centre, while Cannock Lake and Shoal Hill Common are great for walking. The surrounding countryside plays host to a selection of golf courses, while other highlights include Old Brickworks Nature Reserve and Chasewater Country Park. Cannock transport links
Cannock’strain station is just to the south of the town centre, next to the West Midlands and McArthur Glen designer outlets. Services to Birmingham take just under 40 minutes, while you can drive into the nearby city in around half an hour. Cannock is also conveniently located for the M6 motorway, which you can use to drive north to Stoke in around 40 minutes, with London just over two hours to the south.
