Things to see and do in Halifax
Halifax is brimming with natural, cultural and family-friendly attractions, including the interactive Eureka! The National Children’s Museum. You’ll find the Piece Hall around the corner with its shops and cafes, as well as Halifax Minster, Calderdale Industrial Museum, the Square Chapel and the fun-filled Escaporium escape rooms.

Education
Halifax is blessed with a number of excellent schools, including Copley Primary School to the south of the town centre. All Saints’ CofE Junior and Infant School is also in the south, while Northowram Primary School is on the north east outskirts of town. All of these schools are rated as outstanding by Ofsted.
The North Halifax Grammar School also receives top marks from the education board, along with the Crossley Heath School. Trinity Academy is another outstanding option just to the west of the town centre, while Ravenscliffe High School is a similarly highly-rated special school.
Halifax transport links
The M62 motorway passes just to the south of Halifax, giving the town easy access to Leeds in the east and Manchester in the opposite direction. Trains to the latter take around 45 minutes, while it’s around half an hour into Leeds. Bradford is just over 10 minutes away, while Leeds Bradford Airport is 15 miles from Halifax.
