  • Methley is well-connected to nearby towns and cities by road, with the M62 and M1 both nearby. Although there’s no train station in the village, there are rail connections nearby in Castleford and Woodlesford, with services to Leeds city centre taking around 15 minutes.

    Travelling by car, the journey from Leeds to Methley takes 20 minutes via the A639 depending on traffic, while the journey from Pontefract and Wakefield also takes around 20 minutes. From York, Methley is only a 45 minute drive away, while the journey from London takes three hours 45 minutes by car via the M1, or just two hours 15 minutes by train to Leeds.

    When it’s time to jet off on holiday, the journey to Leeds Bradford Airport by car takes 40 minutes.
