If you’re looking for a place to live that offers rural living within easy reach of larger towns and cities, a new home in Almondsbury could be the right choice for you.

Things to see and do

Despite its relatively small size, Almondsbury is close to some first-rate city attractions thanks to its close proximity to Bristol. Cribbs Causeway shopping mall, Bristol Zoo Gardens and Cabot Circus are all nearby, while Gloucester is home to the Quays shopping area and the Guildhall theatre.

If you’re moving to the area with young children, they’ll enjoy visiting The Wild Place Project, St Werburghs City Farm and Avon Valley Railway. Other kid-friendly attractions close to Almondsbury include Old Down Country Park, AirHop Bristol and Bristol Aquarium.

For history-buffs, there are a number of great sites close to Almondsbury, from Blaise Castle House Museum to Bristol City Museum and SS Great Britain. If you take a day trip to Bath, you can visit the Roman Baths, go inside Bath Abbey or see the exhibitions at the Jane Austen Centre.

For those who prefer spending your time playing sport or watching from the sidelines, Bristol Rovers FC play their home matches at Memorial Stadium, while Ashton Gate is home to Bristol Rugby RFC and Bristol City FC. Bristol Golf Course, Woodlands Golf and Country Club, and Thornbury Golf Centre are all close to the village.

Education

For higher education, the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England, the University of Bath and Bath Spa University are all within commuting distance of the village.
