New Homes in Banbury FAQs

  • Surrounded by beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, you can look forward to a wonderful way of life when you buy a new home in Banbury.

  • A town with plenty of history, you can explore more about the local area at Banbury Museum, before heading south west from town to visit the majestic Broughton Castle. You can cross Crouch Hill if you’re taking that particular journey on foot, a partly artificial hill which offers spectacular scenery and views.

People’s Park, meanwhile, is right in the heart of town and home to a kids’ play area. The same goes for Spiceball Country Park, which also has a skatepark, while Grimsbury Reservoir is just north of town and perfect for pretty walks. A little further afield, the picturesque Cotswolds provide endless opportunities for more walks, as well as peaceful bike rides as you visit the local pubs and cafes.

  • There’s a decent selection of schools in Banbury, which has a large number of primaries rated as good by Ofsted. This includes St Mary’s CofE, Harriers Banbury Academy and Queensway School, while William Morris Primary is outstanding. At secondary level, Futures Institute Banbury, Wykham Park and Blessed George Napier Catholic School and Sixth Form are all good options. The Warriner School and North Oxfordshire Academy are also options close to town.

  • The M40 passes close to town, meaning Banbury is very well connected to the national motorway network. Birmingham is around 50 minutes north along this road, while London is a little further away in the opposite direction. Banbury’s train station is parallel to the A4260, with services to Birmingham taking 45 minutes. Trains to London only take an hour, making Banbury feasible if you work in the capital.
