Spend a relaxing day by the sea at Limpert Bay, or make your way to Porthkerry Country Park on the edge of neighbouring Barry. While you’re there, don’t miss Knap Gardens, Romilly Park or Barry Castle. Or if you have kids, make sure you head to the fun-filled Barry Island Pleasure Park for a memorable day out. 

Education

As a relatively small town, the only local school is Rhws Primary School on Fontygary Road. Its most recent Estyn report was good, although you could head over to Barry or St Athan for more options. Barry has the biggest range of schools in the area and has a good selection of secondaries to choose between. 

 

Rhoose transport links

Rhoose provides unbeatable access to Cardiff Airport, which could be ideal if you regularly travel abroad or to other parts of the UK. The town’s train station offers services to Barry which take just over five minutes, while it’s only around half an hour into Cardiff. Driving times to these places are similar, with Swansea also less than an hour away in the car.
