Live the Rhoose life

With a great location on the south coast of Wales, Rhoose offers you a fantastic setting and top connections. We can also offer you plenty when you decide to buy a new home in this area, thanks to great offers like our Part Exchange scheme. With this, we could be your guaranteed buyer if you have a home to sell as part of your move, meaning you’ll enjoy a cheaper, less stressful experience.

Things to see and do in Rhoose

For starters, Rhoose’s location close to Cardiff Airport is perfect if you have a keen interest in all things aviation. To that end, South Wales Aviation Museum is only around five miles from town. If you prefer more peaceful leisure pursuits, head over to the picturesque Rhoose Point to soak up the spectacular views of the local coastline.

Spend a relaxing day by the sea at Limpert Bay, or make your way to Porthkerry Country Park on the edge of neighbouring Barry. While you’re there, don’t miss Knap Gardens, Romilly Park or Barry Castle. Or if you have kids, make sure you head to the fun-filled Barry Island Pleasure Park for a memorable day out.

Education

As a relatively small town, the only local school is Rhws Primary School on Fontygary Road. Its most recent Estyn report was good, although you could head over to Barry or St Athan for more options. Barry has the biggest range of schools in the area and has a good selection of secondaries to choose between.

Rhoose transport links

Rhoose provides unbeatable access to Cardiff Airport, which could be ideal if you regularly travel abroad or to other parts of the UK. The town’s train station offers services to Barry which take just over five minutes, while it’s only around half an hour into Cardiff. Driving times to these places are similar, with Swansea also less than an hour away in the car.

The Rhoose property scene

House prices in Rhoose are significantly higher than the South Wales average, showing this is a great area to invest in. Detached properties are usually in good supply, while the town caters for a wide range of tastes and budgets.

From vast 5 bedroom family homes to stunning thatched houses, cosy terraces and architecturally impressive properties, you can also find beautiful waterside homes a few miles away in neighbouring Barry. Wherever you want to live, don’t miss the Help to Buy - Wales scheme for additional support with your move.
