Stonehouse is a small town, with a number of independent shops and cafes in the centre. Stroud is nearby, where there’s a popular farmers’ market, and the recently refurbished Gloucester Docks is now home to the Gloucester Quays shopping area.
If you love getting out and about in the great outdoors, you can take a walk through Westonbirt Arboretum, take in the views from Painswick Beacon or go a trip into the Cotswold's. The town is under 10 minutes away from Stroud by car or five minutes by train, while the journey from Gloucester takes 15 minutes by train or 25 minutes by car. Cheltenham is 25 minutes away from Stonehouse by car or 30 minutes by train.
If you’re going to London, the direct train from Stonehouse to Paddington takes one hour 45 minutes. For holidays and business trips abroad, Bristol Airport is only a 50-minute drive away.
