Things to see and do

In the city centre you’ll find the historic Stoke Minster, along with high street shopping, cafes and restaurants. Getting to Stoke

Situated close to junction 15 and 16 of the M6, Stoke is well connected to the rest of the country by road. The train station is on the West Coast Mainline, with regular services to places including London, Birmingham and Manchester. There are also lots of cycle routes throughout the city.

For commuters it’s easy to get to and from Stoke. Birmingham is around 45 minutes away from the city by either car or train, while Manchester is a one hour drive north, or 45 minutes away by train. To get to and from London, the Virgin Trains service takes just one hour 35 minutes, while the car journey takes much longer at around two hours 45 minutes.

If you’re going on holiday or travelling abroad for business, Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport and Birmingham Airport are all within easy reach of Stoke, so there will be plenty of flying options no matter what your destination.
