The town’s local primary school is Thrapston Primary in the heart of town. There are a number of schools in the surrounding area which are rated as good by the education board, including Ringstead CofE, Titchmarsh CofE and Woodford CofE.
Thrapston currently doesn’t have its own secondary school, but options in nearby Kettering include the outstanding Bishop Stopford School. Manor School Sports College in Wellingborough meanwhile is also close and rated as good by Ofsted.
How are the Thrapston transport links?
With the A1(M) passing not far east of town, Thrapston is served by four A roads; the A14, A45, A605 and A6116. You can use these to get to places like Kettering in just 15 minutes or Northampton in double that. The town no longer has its own train station, but it is served by a number of local bus routes you can use to get around.
