It regularly holds events such as treasure hunts and pond dipping. For a rainy day, Castlegate Way has entertainment for all the family including bowling, a cinema and restaurants. Dudley town centre has plenty of shops with the Churchill Shopping Centre featuring high street favourites. When evening falls, there are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants to enjoy.

Gornal has great transport links to many of the surrounding cities and towns. Birmingham can be reached in around 30 minutes via the M5 and M6 motorways. Just six miles north of Gornal, Wolverhampton is even closer, as is Stourbridge, an additional large town a similar distance away to the south.
