  • Shifnal is just south of the M54 and has its own train station, so the town is an ideal place to live if you’re commuting to places nearby. The journey from Telford takes just five minutes by train or under 10 minutes by car, while Wolverhampton is 25 minutes from the town by either car or train. Shifnal is a 25-minute drive or 30-minute train journey from Shrewsbury, while Birmingham is only a 40-minute drive away, or 45 minutes by train. 

    Travelling further afield, London is around two hours 25 minutes from Shifnal by train, changing once at Birmingham New Street. The equivalent car journey takes two hours 50 minutes via the M40, depending on traffic. If you’re going on holiday or taking a business trip abroad, you can get to Birmingham Airport in 45 minutes by car or one hour by train.
