Essentials on your doorstep

Bowbrook Meadows is in a great location for your growing family with a selection of primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges for higher education in the local area.

  • You will find ASDA and Sainsbury's supermarkets just outside Shrewsbury.
  • Local shops are within walking distance for your everyday essentials.
  • An easily accessible Doctors surgery and Pharmacy can be found nearby.

Efficient, modern design

Bowbrook Meadows is a shared development with Bovis Homes, and together we will be creating a new community of 425 new homes with 205 of those being built by us. The design of our homes here are the result of our continued communications with the Local Authorities and we have also taken the existing properties surrounding Bowbrook Meadows into consideration.

The homes we are building here are more energy efficient than an older home of the same size by up to 45-55%*. This means you can make an average saving of £1,312* a year on your energy bills.

*For more information on our energy efficient homes, click here.

The build so far

We started to build our homes here at the beginning of January with the Sales Centre recently opening in April 2015. Our three beautiful show homes are now available to take a look round, so you can come and see how your new home could look. The first completions here took place in Autumn last year. We anticipate to have all our homes built by June 2019.

Evenings and weekends

Famous for its castle, spires, medieval buildings and of course its flowers, Shrewsbury has enough to see and do to keep your family busy.

Exploring History
  • You can easily get lost in the maze of cobbled streets, home to over 600 listed buildings dating back to the Tudor and Georgian eras. Shrewsbury Castle stands out above the rest, welcoming you to the town from the top of the Victorian Railway.  Here you will find the Regimental Museum, so you can learn more about the town you live in.
Parks and Open Spaces
  • You can enjoy sunny days with a leisurely stroll and picnics in the 29 acre Quarry Park. The park is best known for being home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show, attracting tourists all over the country to see lovely displays.
Family Days Out
  • A fun filled day is to be had by all your family at the Adventure Rope Course. Test your nerves on the high ropes or if you are feeling a little more daring why not try abseiling, parachute jumping and skydiving.

Live the life

Many of the restaurants in Shrewsbury are set within historic buildings so you can wine and dine in a great atmosphere with lots of character. With so many places to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice but you are sure to find just what you are looking for. You will also find 60 real ale pubs in and around Shrewsbury and of course you must taste the local Shropshire Gold.

  • You can enjoy many events such as fireworks, air shows, food festivals and music festivals, so whatever your interest, you can find it here.
  • Located at the heart of Shropshire you are in an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Shropshire Hills.

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for Barratt and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded a Five Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation, every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live. Our properties offer great local amenities and facilities, and are close to major transport links. People like living in Barratt homes – which makes them great investments.
