Breath-taking scenery

Education

Sheffield is a popular student destination boasting both the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.

There are also a number of great educational facilities for those with children of all ages within the area.

For those with primary age children, Ashton Fence Junior and Infant School, Stocksbridge Junior School and Dobcroft Junior School rank among some of the best within the Sheffield area. Whereas those in high school will find the Ashton Academy, King Edward VII School and High Storrs School are some of the best schools around.

Transport links

Getting into Sheffield is very straight-forward. The city can be entered from the M1 and M18, while those entering from Manchester and the west can leave the M60 (east) at junction 24.

At the heart of the railway network, you can enjoy regular services between Sheffield and London St Pancras taking just over two hours, Birmingham can be reached in 90 minutes while Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds can be reached in just one hour.

If travelling further afield, the nearest airport to Sheffield is the Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster which is 30 minutes away. Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Nottingham East Midlands all take one hour to get to.
