Live the life

Located on the border of the West Midlands and Staffordshire, the Black Country town of Bloxwich provides lovely surroundings.

With great transport links into Birmingham, buying a new home in Bloxwich is ideal for commuters, while those with children will also find a variety of schools.

Things to see and do

A mixture of the old and new, Bloxwich has lovely Edwardian architecture and fascinating buildings to visit. Bloxwich Hall is an example of this, which was built in 1830 for an ironmaster. The oldest building in the town is the Cottage Shop which dates back to the 15th century, while the old vicarage is thought to date back to the 1600s.

The town also has facilities to cater for your everyday essentials. Shops can be found on the high street, while Crown Wharf Shopping Park has other choices. At Bloxwich Leisure Centre you’ll find fitness classes and a large pool.

If you’re looking for a lively city, Birmingham can be reached in less than half an hour. Here you can enjoy great shopping in the Bullring and Mailbox, while the historic markets and jewellery quarter provides an alternative.

Attractions for family days out in Birmingham include Cadbury World, where you’ll be taken through fourteen zones, and the National SEA LIFE Centre. Here you can walk through the glass tunnel filled with hundreds of fish and sea creatures. While Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum provides ten themed galleries, immersing you in everything from taste buds and intestines to locomotives and aircraft.

Education

There are several schools in the area offering families plenty of choice. Those looking to study for a degree in the area will find the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University close by.

Transport links

Bloxwich has good transport links, making it ideal for commuters.

For motorists, the town is four miles from the M6 motorway between junctions 10 and 11. The A34 Southampton/Oxford/Manchester road passes through the town and forms its high street.

The A4124 Wolverhampton to Brownhills road crosses the north of the town.

There are two railway stations to choose from, Bloxwich and Bloxwich North, both of which provide connections to Birmingham.

For those travelling further afield, Birmingham Airport is the nearest airport, where you’ll find domestic and international flights. It can be reached from Bloxwich in just under 40 minutes by road.
