Things to see and do
Westford Village is just a short drive away from Bedford, a charming town where you’ll find popular attractions including the Panacea Museum, John Bunyan Museum and the Higgins Art Gallery and Museum. The town also hosts the Bedford Regatta and the Bedford River Festival, making this a vibrant and exciting part of the UK to live in.
If you enjoy getting out and about in the great outdoors, there are lots of places to take a walk, go for a cycle ride or simply kick a football around, including Priory Country Park, Bedford Park and Addison Howard Park. The Bedford Great Denham Golf Village is also close-by, where you can practice your swing with an 18-hole round.
If you enjoy watching sports, Stadium MK is just a short drive away from the village and is where MK Dons play their home football matches. For those who like getting active, Kempston Outdoor Centre and The Bunyan Sports Centre are also nearby.
For evening entertainment, Westford Village is a short taxi ride away from venues including The Place Bedfordshire, The Quarry Theatre at St Luke’s and the University of Bedfordshire Theatre, where you can watch performances ranging from dance to music, comedy and drama.

For degree courses, the University of Bedfordshire campus in Bedford is a quick drive away from Westford Village, while the University of Cambridge and the University of Northampton are within commuting distance, ideal if your children prefer to live and study at home.
Getting to Westford Village
Located close to the M1 on the A428, Westford Village has good transport links by road making it easy to drive to neighbouring towns and cities. There is no train station in the village, but Bedford has two stations which have regular services to London. To reach the station, you can take the 15-minute drive from Westford Village to Bedford or alternatively catch a bus.
To get to London, the train from Bedford station to St Pancras International takes around 40 minutes, while the car journey takes much longer at around one hour 25 minutes travelling via the M1. Milton Keynes is just 20 minutes away from Westford Village, while Birmingham is a one hour 30-minute drive north west.
If you’re travelling abroad, London Luton Airport is just 30 minutes away from the village by car or 25 minutes by train from Bedford, helping to make sure holidays and business trips are as easy and hassle free as possible.
